Dash camera footage posted to social media by a witness shows the moments leading up to the solo commercial vehicle crash that occurred in Perrysburg Ohio February 17, 2026.
The semi truck is seen swerving in and out of lanes nearly hitting an RV and then suddenly veered off to the right shoulder. The truck driver attempts to regain control of the big rig but overcorrects and slams into the center median.
He is knocked back out into traffic and then crashes one last time into the median again before coming to a stop. As bystanders stopped to check on the driver, he attempted to reverse and drive away however a witness disconnected the tractor trailer’s airlines before he could leave.
The tractor sustained a substantial amount of damage although the extent is unknown. Commenters made note of the truck decal displayed on the side of the truck saying there was a Dog on board. There are no updated reports as to the condition of the dog if it was in the truck at the time of the accident and if arrangements were made for it to be held by animal control.
There is no updated report as to the actual cause of the crash at the time of the posting.
