Spaced Invaders (1990)

Описание: Some invasions just aren't meant to be.

Before CGI spectacle took over sci-fi comedy, there was this: a scrappy, low-budget gem about five Martian invaders whose scout ship breaks down over small-town America — on Halloween, of all nights. Standing a mere four feet tall in their rubber-suited glory, the aliens are mistaken for trick-or-treaters and swept up in a night of porch lights, candy, and unexpected friendship with two local kids, one of whom happens to be the sheriff's daughter.

It's the kind of premise only 1990 could give us — equal parts E.T. wonder and B-movie charm, with practical effects and puppet aliens that feel like a warm hug from a bygone era of filmmaking. As the Martians' half-hearted plans for world domination quietly fall apart, an unstoppable killer robot threatens to ruin everyone's Halloween for good.

A forgotten piece of late-'80s/early-'90s sci-fi comedy nostalgia — the kind of movie you stumbled on at 11pm on cable and never forgot.
