The recall affects models built between October 2019 and February 2024, covering model years 2020 through 2024. The issue stems from a possible manufacturing error at LG Energy Solution’s factory in Poland, which could lead to short circuits and increase the risk of fire.
The recall is divided into two groups: ARB6 and ARB7. For ARB6, Porsche advises owners to limit their charging to 80% as a temporary fix. For ARB7, no immediate action is required, but Porsche will monitor the vehicles remotely for any anomalies. If issues are detected, affected battery modules will be replaced free of charge.
Porsche plans to install diagnostic software in all impacted vehicles to monitor battery health. If any problems arise, owners will be notified and further action will be taken.
