Animation made by NOV showing the unique solutions and features of the Frigstad D90 design of rigs Alfa and Beta - the two 7th generation ultra deepwater units that are currently being buildt at the CIMC Raffles shipyard in Yantai, China.
The units, designed in‐house by Frigstad Engineering, are scheduled for delivery in Q3‐2016 and Q1‐2017.
When delivered, they will be the largest and most powerful semi‐submersible drilling units inthe market,
with full dual drilling packages from NOV and water depth capacity of 12,000 feet.
