Today we’re heading to Cafe Madras, Matunga for a brunch experience to try their most popular South Indian dishes. Last time we visited Cafe Mysore (Mysore Cafe) — and honestly, its authentic flavours are still unbeatable for us.

At Cafe Madras, we ordered Dosa, Rasam Idli, Dahi Idli, Sambar Rice, Pineapple Sheera, and many other items. But to be very honest, the food felt quite overhyped, especially when we compare it with Mysore Cafe.

One thing that really stands out at Madras Cafe is the pricing. Despite ordering so many dishes, our bill came to just ₹700, making it one of the most affordable South Indian eateries in South Mumbai.

If you’re looking for truly delicious, authentic South Indian flavours, my personal recommendation still goes to Cafe Mysore.
