Kroonland 4X4 Trail, Villiersdorp On a SNOWY Weekend!

Описание: This week the team from Off The Beaten Track headed out to Kroonland 4X4 Trail in Villiersdorp, Cape Town.

Villiersdorp is situated a mere 5 minutes away from Theewaterkloof, this quaint town is known for its plentiful apple, apricot and pear production.

The mountains of Viilersdorp resemble that of the Swiss Alps during the winter months, as all the peaks surrounding the town are snow-capped, creating majestic views, which are truly postcard worthy.

The trail itself is an easy one, with some lightly steep inclines and some mud here and there, but easy enough for a novice to tackle, there aren’t any obstacles or rock climbing involved, However a Decent set of All terrain Tires are a MUST, I doubt we would’ve made it without our Coopers!

Do Yourself a favour and give Villiersdorp a visit, Villiersdorp is home to the 7th largest dam in South Africa which was built in the late 1970s, the Theewaterskloof Dam, The town is also home to a moskonfyt factory (supposedly the only one in the world) which was built in 1922 as well as a Tractor and Engine Museum.
