In this video we take a dive into various types of bearings (also called ball bearings) that are used in a high performance RC Helicopter because let's face it... one single aircraft uses many different types of bearings in order to allow high performance and reliable flight. In this video we cover radial bearings, thrust bearings, roller/needle bearings, one way bearings, and even a special little device called a heim ball (AKA rod end). Learn how to measure bearing sizes and even discover some design and implementation strategies for ensuring bearings are supported and loaded correctly for hours and hours of trouble free use.
