Why buy a board game table like the Prophecy or the Jasper when you can just build your own? Every time we make a video on board games tables whether it's the Duchess or the Cassidy, there's always someone in the comments who says how much cheaper it is to just build your own, so we did! Buying from BoardGameTables, Game Theory Tables, or Wyrmwood can easily cost thousands of dollars, but here, the materials only added up to $200, though of course there's also the cost of tools and your time spend building the table. So was it all worth it? Can you truly be satisfied by a DIY board game table, or is it better off avoiding the hassle and buying a premium tabletop? The answer, like usual, is it depends! Especially if you're totally new to carpentry, it's probably better to start off building something easier before making your way to a table, especially a board game table if you want a recessed play area.
