How to stay to on top of things? We get barraged by numberless requests and things that distracts us. Thomas Girst tackles this problem and encourages us to take time to create special, sustainable things in our life. Those things play out in time and sometimes we need to step out of our common environment to grasp them, but in the end those things are the persistent, maybe even world changing ones.
Thomas Girst, b. 1971, studied Art History, American Studies and German Literature at Hamburg University and New York University, PhD. While in New York between 1995-2003 he was Research Manager of the Art Science Research Laboratory under the directorship of Stephen Jay Gould, Harvard University. Since 2003, he is the global Head of Cultural Engagement at the BMW Group. Girst lectures at various universities and publishes widely.
