This mashup was inspired by the 30 September 2024 letter from the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the US, which included this passage from ‘Abdu’l-Bahá:
"The American continent gives signs and evidences of great advancement. Its future is even more promising, for its influence and illumination are far-reaching. It will lead all nations spiritually."
This mashup is to show one aspect of the global influence of the US - particularly through a style of music and dance that originated in the African American community, now influencing cultures worldwide.
