SYNOPSIS:
It's 2002, and something sinister is lurking in the static...

CHANNEL 02 takes place in the quiet town of Winona Falls, where three teenage friends have gathered in the Harris family basement to repair a broken CRT television. What starts as a simple fix quickly turns unsettling when the static on Channel 2 begins to carry something familiar – something personal.

Set in the analog twilight of the early 2000s, CHANNEL 02 explores grief, belief, skepticism, and the terrifying idea that technology can become a doorway rather than a tool you can never turn off.

DIRECTORS NOTE:

CHANNEL 02 is a standalone short film rooted in early-2000s nostalgia, a time period I was fortunate to grow up during. This short was created to feel authentic to that era while leaning into atmosphere, sound, and implication rather than explanation. It's like a vignette of a larger film or series, heavily inspired by Amblin style sensibilities, early-2000s horror tropes (like The Ring) and a dash of modern 'Stranger Things / Duffer Brothers' magic.

The film was produced with a small, agile crew focused on atmosphere, sound, and practical storytelling. The single biggest achievement from this film is the lessons learned across the entire process from writing to releasing – and I can genuinely say we had a lot of fun doing this.
