Perhaps it's a mage's sheer strength and superhuman control of their magical power, or it could be the influence of a powerful curse that decides who is king.

perhaps it is a mage's legacy...? descended by a god or a titanic being...? shaping the power and traits that the mage possesses, and deciding how they would grow and adapt to their experiences...

or it could be their influence and social network, having access to talented friends and a powerful navy that gets to decide their hold over the limited natural resources that grow along the war seas.

in this 50 minute long video essay, I shall cover my choices for what arcane odyssey character is the strongest, as well as detailing their feats, their politics and their eventual demise...
