LGE 2026 special vote applications open for eligible voters

Описание: Missing the November 4 election date may result in a loss of your ability to cast a ballot if you do not secure a special vote.

The IEC has set a strict deadline for special vote applications. You must submit your request by 5pm on October 12.

Legal experts warn that failing to meet this specific cutoff could leave you without a way to participate in the election process. ⚠️

Under Section 33 of the Electoral Act 73 of 1998, you may apply for a special vote if you meet the IEC requirements and are unable to reach your voting station on election day. Apply online or at your local IEC office before 5pm on October 12.

Have you ever had to apply for a special vote before, or are you planning to do it for the first time this year?
