This is a tutorial video on how to make a basic particle effect to make hot ashes float and disappear. This is a beginner's level effect for Toon Boom Harmony Premium 17.
Ashes will be generated using the particle emitter system. This shows step-by-step instructions to get a hot ashes effect, as if the ashes are coming from a fire or volcano.
You can change the sprites to make a similar snowstorm or blizzard effect if you change the drawing layer to snowflakes instead of dots and color them pale blue or white instead of fire colors.
We also discuss some of the settings in the Initial parameters for the Sprite Emitter Node by way of statistics.
