It is the last days of the year and winter has finally arrived. I have a few days off so I take my backpack to spend some days outdoors.
The region is called Upland (Highland) and is part of the Rothaar mountains / Sauerland. The Uplandsteig is a hiking trail that leads 64 kilometers around the winter sports resort Willingen. I hiked the trail in four days.
