Pontins in Prestatyn opened in 1971 and was the filming location for the British TV sitcom Holiday On the Buses
The Holiday park was very underinvested in being maintained for years.
The Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park has been open in the region and offering budget holidays for the past five decades. It is owned by the Britannia group which also runs The Grand Hotel in Llandudno
A Pontins statement read: “We regret to inform you that our parks in Prestatyn and Camber Sands will be closing with immediate effect. dated 30/11/2023.
