PM Modi launches 'Green Credit Initiative' at World Climate Action Summit of COP28 in Dubai

Описание: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a web portal for the 'Green Credit Initiative' at the World Climate Action Summit of the Conference of Parties-28 in Dubai. The Green Credit Initiative was first introduced by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change on October 13, 2023. It is a market-based mechanism designed to reward voluntary environmental actions by individuals, communities, and the private sector. Under this initiative, green credits will be assigned to specific environmental activities and will be treated as tradable commodities. These green credits will be able to be sold on domestic market platforms.
