There are roughly 180,000 collegiate athletic scholarships available in the United States each year. These scholarships allow students to use their talents to get an education and build their careers. Unfortunately, as of right now there are almost no such opportunities for young disc golfers - the Ulibarri Leadership Foundation wants to change that. Their scholarships will help students who display educational achievement, leadership ability, and a passion for the sport of disc golf, afford their post-high-school education.

The Ulibarri Leadership Foundation's vision for the future of disc golf involves making investments now that will help the next generations bring the sport into the mainstream. Right now kids as young as 4 and 5 are participating in organized sports such as baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and hundreds of others, with structures in place to help them continue to achieve and improve throughout their youth. Many young people see sports as a way to achieve their life goals or get an otherwise inaccessible education. They want to begin building these types of structures for disc golf - starting with this scholarship program.
