A former two-time world boxing champion, Simpiwe Vetyeka, is recovering in an East London hospital with leg injuries.
The boxer was the victim of a hit and run incident in East London last weekend. Vetyeka was in action earlier this month, beating Thomson Mokwane, to capture the WBO Africa lightweight title at the Orient Theatre.
