Starting the swing in the correct sequence is pivotal to get right if you want to be an elite ball striker❗️
One of the most common mistakes I see actually occurs during the first few feet off the ball when the lower body rotates too early causing the hands to get dragged inside ❌
This is a recipe for disaster as by doing this, golfers are straight away required to make some sort of compensation move later on in the swing!
Instead, during the takeaway - we want to create some separation between the upper and lower body 🙌🏻
In order to do this, feel like your lower body stays very still until the shaft reaches parallel to the ground and it is the upper body and in particular the shoulders that push the club away ✅
This helps to create width but more importantly keep the club head out in front of the hands and body 🔥
