Hello guys. In this video, I have covered a very beautiful destination of Uttarakhand known as Nelong and Jadung valley along with Gartang Gali in Harsil valley. I started my journey from Delhi – Rishikesh- Uttarkashi and finally Nelong and Jadung valley which is so close to Tibet border.

About Nelong and Jadung Valley: Nelong and Jadung Valley are located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India, near the Sino-Indian Line of Actual Control (LAC). Nelong Valley is known as the "Ladakh of Uttarakhand" due to its cold desert environment and high altitude. Jadung is a village within the valley, historically a trade route connecting India with Tibet.

Every Indian needs an Inner Line Permit for entry due to its proximity to the India-Tibet border.
You can get this ILP from Uttarkashi SDM office, online facility is not available for this.

Documents require you to get the permit:
Aadhar card
Driver license
RC of the vehicle
Two wheelers are not allowed in this valley, you have to take four wheeler car only.
Other charges:
At the check point, you have to pay INR 300 per person to enter into Nelong and Jadung valley as this area comes under Gangotri National Park.
Additionally, you have to pay INR 250 per vehicle.

About Gartnag Gali: Gartang Gali, a historic bridge in Uttarkashi's Nelong Valley, once served as a vital trade route between India and Tibet. Built around 150 years ago, spans 500 metres along a vertical ridge at 11,000 feet in the Nelang river valley. It was constructed in traditional native style, initially by Pathan traders from Peshawar, serving as a Silk Road trade route between Tibet and India.
Entry charge: INR 200 per person, you have to pay at the entry gate.
