Brahmapur Railway Station Still Deprived of Development, Protest Intensifies

Описание: Despite being known as Odisha’s first railway station and classified under the NSG-2 category, Brahmapur Railway Station continues to remain deprived of basic development. Allegations of neglect by the Railway authorities have triggered growing resentment among locals.

The lack of adequate infrastructure and passenger amenities has raised serious concerns, especially considering the station’s historical importance and revenue status. In protest against this continued neglect, the South Odisha Railway Development Joint Action Committee has launched an agitation, demanding immediate attention and upgradation of the station.

Protesters have urged the Railway Ministry to ensure justice to Brahmapur by providing facilities in line with its NSG-2 status and long-standing demands of the region.
