Описание: Good morning Business Builders! Welcome to Business For Breakfast, where business is the most important meal of the day. I'm your host Aaron Novinger, the Venti Business Guy or otherwise known as VBG! Our goal on this show is to make you 1% smarter today by unpacking business news over the last 24 hours sprinkled with tips and tricks to help YOU Mind Your Own Business.

Today's Briefing on 02-25-26:
Welcome back to the show! We are turning up the heat for Wasabi Wednesday because the Senate is finally digging into the massive fraud that crowded out honest "Mom and Pop" Venti Shops during the pandemic. We're talking about $200 billion in fraudulent PPP money that should have gone to you. I’m breaking down how the SBA is purging "shell firms" and what new IRS rules mean for your ability to get a loan from your local community bank.

I also dive into a fascinating study on what actually makes a CEO successful. Spoiler alert: it’s not what the boards think. We’re looking at why speed beats perfection and why being a "reliable executioner" is the only way to dominate your market. Plus, we’ve got some spicy celebrity tea and a look at why Lowe’s is absolutely crushing Home Depot right now by using tech to help humans instead of replacing them.

This Day in History:
07:10 - Samuel Colt changes defense forever with the Revolver patent
07:44 - The birth of the broadcast age: The first TV license
08:24 - Why is it called Xerox? The history of Zerography

09:35 - Happy Birthday to the "Quiet Beatle" George Harrison
09:56 - "Woo!" Celebrating the legendary Ric Flair
10:20 - Tech or Magic? Capturing the sounds of Mars

The "Daily 1%" Advice:
*Audit Your Loan Terms:* If you’re looking at an SBA 7A loan, wait until March 1st to lock in your terms to take advantage of the new alternative base rates that could save you serious cash.
*The 25/75 Rule:* Shift your daily focus to 25% planning and 75% execution. Routine is the key, and consistency will set you free.
*Avoid Isolation:* If you work alone, schedule at least one "passive social" session this week at a cafe or co-working space to catch that transferable human energy.

Novy Notes:
"Business is the most important meal of the day."
"Done well is better than perfect."
"Perfectionism is the enemy of profit."
"Routine is the key and consistency sets you free."
"Visionaries live in the fourth dimension; they see what you need before you do."
"The Morning Mark is the tiny act that makes business owners dangerous in a good way."

Biz Lesson:
Lowe’s is winning right now because they realized something huge: AI shouldn't replace people; it should help people be better at their jobs. While other stores are hiding their workers, Lowe's uses cameras to see if you look lost. If you're pacing the aisle, the AI tells a real person to come help you. They also use robots to check the shelves so they never run out of what you need. The lesson for us is simple: use tech to make your customers feel special, not to ignore them. When you focus on the person, the money follows.

Scott Adams How To 'Reframe Your Brain' Lesson:
Stop looking at "done is better than perfect" as an excuse for sloppy work. Reframe it as "Done Well is Better Than Perfect." If you wait for everything to be perfect, you'll never start, and that’s called "paralysis by analysis." Most business owners fail because they try to plan from A to Z. You don't need Z yet. You only need to obsess over A through E—the steps that get you to your first dollar. Reframe your big goal into small, bite-sized pieces, and suddenly that mountain looks like a staircase you can actually climb.
