Tori-Q... Our go-to for Japanese Yakitori.
Today, we're gonna make Tori-Q's Chicken Meatball!
That moist and tender meatball, with sweet and savoury Yakitori sauce....
You can't go wrong with that!
Tori Q Chicken Ball Recipe
Yakitori Sauce ( This recipe makes quite a large portion, which can also be used to marinate Teriyaki Chicken)
• 200ml Japanese Soy Sauce
• 300ml Mirin
• 150g Sake
• Sugar 150g
• 1 Inch Knob Ginger
• 3 Cloves Garlic
• 1 Scallion
• 15g of Corn-starch
• Roughly Water 60ml (Add more water if too salty)
• 1/4 piece of 2g Chicken Bouillon/ Hondashi
Meatball
• 550g Minced Chicken Thighs
• 50g Silken Tofu (Replace Tofu with 50g Chicken Thigh if you prefer the texture of Tori-Q's Meatball)
• 2 Tablespoon Corn-starch
• 3/4 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
• 1/4 cup finely chopped Scallions
• 1 large Egg
• 1 Inch knobs finely minced Ginger
• 2 Clove finely minced Garlic
• 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
• 1 teaspoon Table salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
• Seaweed and Sesame Seeds for Garnish
