Disney Speedstorm - Reaching Ultimate Champion (MPL 40) with Level 30 Lightning McQueen

Was it worth it? Yes and no.
Yes that it's worth it to reach Ultimate Champion rank for the first time and the first few times.
No that it's not worth it by how much time it is required to reach it for the first time and for multiple characters.

I recommend only reaching Ultimate Champion once or a few times for the experience of reaching the highest rank.
I do not recommend reaching Ultimate Champion more than a few times because Ultimate Champion rank doesn't really mean skill. The Ultimate Champion rank at this point means a player has a lot of time played in the game from grinding to the rank.

I tried Solo Mode in Ranked Races to reach Ultimate Champion (MPL 40), but the queues are dead starting from Champion rank (MPL 31) and the queues get even worse at Grand Champion rank (MPL 36). When my Lightning McQueen was at Champion rank (MPL 31), I gave up on Solo Mode and changed to Team Mode (which had a lot more players playing).

It is so much easier to gain points and rank up in Team Mode compared to Solo Mode. Basically it comes down to 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s.
In 1v1s, both players gain points.
In 2v2s, only the last player on the losing team loses points. Everyone else gains points.
In 3v3s, only the last two players on the losing team loses points. Everyone else gains points.
With the Team Mode implemented into the game, it effectively made reaching Ultimate Champion rank easier but made the rank meaningless as it's only a matter of grinding and time rather than skill.
(In my opinion, I would still prefer this Team Mode way of reaching Ultimate Champion rank than what it used to be with only Solo Mode when only pay2win players can reach Ultimate Champion rank. Team Mode made it possible for free-to-play players like me to reach Ultimate Champion rank without paying)
