Aides for former Vice President Dick Cheney say he''s feeling fine after suffering his FIFTH heart attack.
Cheney was hospitalized in Washington Monday after he experienced chest pains.
His office later issued a written statement saying the 69-year-old had undergone a stress test and a heart catheterization...
and the tests showed evidence of a mild heart attack.
It''s unclear if the blockage was cleared at that time.
Cheney has battled with heart disease for more than 3 decades...suffering his first heart attack at age 37.
Since then he''s had bypass surgery...2 angioplasties...and a pacemaker implanted into his chest.
Back in 2008 doctors had to restore a normal rhythm to his heart with electric shock.
On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden called to wish his predecessor well.
In recent weeks the vice presidents have used separate T-V appearances to bicker over several issues including national security and Iraq.
But Biden''s office says their 5 minute phone call following Cheney''s heart attack was friendly.
Cheney is expected to be sent home within a day or two.
