When the site cut for a new home site is derailed by the unexpected discovery of some very hard rock, this can be a bit of a setback. The usual fix is to bring in a even larger excavator that is fitted with a hydraulic breaker, often this also fails, what do you do then??? The fasted way forward from here is explosives. The skilled application of high explosives can solve nearly any rock problem, even in a built up area close to existing homes.
