In this episode, I trade the city for the peaks! I left Chiang Rai with no real destination in mind, heading west until I found myself in the shadow of Doi Luang Chiang Dao, the third-highest mountain in Thailand.
I discovered an incredible spot called Samatha Camper, a beautiful resort where I spent two nights in my tent soaking in the nature and the creative, peaceful vibe of the grounds. From there, I headed out to explore the best of the area: soaking in the local hot springs, hiking some breathtaking trails, and visiting forest temples tucked into the limestone cliffs.
