Trek Nar Phu - Ep 1 Drive from Pokhara to Koto - Nepal Annapurna area

Описание: In April 2022, We drove from Pokhara to Besisahar on good paved roads, and then on a scary jeep track hacked out of the steep countryside to Koto, the gateway to the Nar-Phu valley.

0:00 We drove out of Pokhara at 07:00
0:11 And then turned north at Dumre at 09:30
0:16 And arrived in Besisahar at 11:00
0:21 After lunch, we took a jeep toward Koto at 12:30
0:29 We passed the picturesque Chamje waterfall
0:39 And then a waterfall coming down at the road
0:43 The road becomes dirt and is being repaired in places
1:03 The road has been hacked out of the cliff
1:10 We passed by Tal Village, probably the most devastated from the 2021 floods
1:37 Sometimes they had to blast part of the rock to make the road
1:55 We passed another waterfall which goes underneath the road
2:06 Our permits were checked in Dharapani at 15:40
2:17 The road then travels next to the Marsyangdi River
2:23 We arrived in Koto 2630m at 16:45, 9:45 from Pokhara or 4:15 from Besisahar
2:28 We stayed at the comfortable friendly Himlung Guest House
2:33 Just before sunset there was a fantastic view of Annapurna II
2:37 I had a delicious dinner at the Himlung Guest House in Koto
2:42 I was up early and enjoyed my coffee at 6am
2:48 And then a delicious nutritious breakfast
2:54 The Buddhist altar in the guest house had statues of Manjushri, Buddha and Tara
3:18 Annapurna II shone just after sunrise
3:23 I walked up to Chame 2700m in about 30 minutes
3:28 Chame in 2021 suffered a devastating flood from the Marsyangdi River
3:55 I walked up to the colourfully painted white Chorten
4:28 I walked back to Koto and had lunch at the Himlung Guest House
