Legendary resource and commodity space investor Rick Rule joined the VID Conference as its keynote speaker on Day 2 of the conference. In the middle of a move, Rick joined the conference by phone to give his thoughts on the current state of the capital markets, and the opportunities that are being presented in the precious metals, base metals and uranium spaces amid unprecedented intervention in global economies from governments and central banks. Rick explains that the current market economic paradigm globally represents a “war on savers” and that traditional safe-haven securities such as U.S. treasuries represent “return-free risk” as they are currently producing negative yields. Following his presentation, Rick addresses various audience questions that came in from attendees, spanning topics such as the best way for investors to safely participate in the precious metals bull market and which commodities he sees as being the best performers over the next decade.
