After I recorded my Nembrini Audio 8180 plugin video and since my bandmate owns the Peavey 5150 MK1, I decided to make a comparison between the 5150 and the 8180!

Analog chain: Maxon OD808 - Peavey 5150 MK1 - Celestion V30 Impulses - ReaEQ (slight EQ adjustment on the mids)
Digital chain: TSE 808v2 - Nembrini Audio 8180 - Celestion V30 Impulses

I have to say, I am completely in shock and awe of how good the Nembrini Audio 8180 can hold up to the real deal! With a bit more tweaking you can get even closer, but I just mixed after my ears until both versions sounded great in a mix, so this is no scientific comparison with exact same settings etc., just went for making both chains sounded as good as possible in the mix.

Just a quick short, original thrash groove on this on, and afterwards I just tweak the knobs while having the guitar only parts on loop - Enjoy!

Software used: Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 + Metal Machine (Drums), ReaPitch + Line6 Podfarm (Bass)
Camera: Nexus 5X built-in Smartphone-camera
