Have you seen stereos like these? Maybe in your parents' house, unsold at a yard sale, or sitting by the curb. They're known as "all-in-one" or "combo" systems and usually include an amplifier, turner, turntable, and possibly a cassette or 8-track tape recorder. This era and style of systems is almost universally looked down upon and has little to no re-sale value! So we wanted to ask the question "Why would you want to own one?"
The majority of people who could not afford higher-end components back in the 1970s-1980s ended up with something like this, and it provided decent sound for the time. In this video, we discuss some possible reasons to keep one of these things around the house today.
