Today I talk about spiccato and etiude no 8 by Kreutzer. This is a tricky bow and it needs a lot of attention to little details for example: how you hold the bow, how you bounce it, how you feel the energy of the stroke.
I approche this problem from the point of using the right amount of gravitation, inertia, minimal mouvement and release of tension. The spiccato is a “happy “ bow, so we need to play it right. :) Enjoy!
