Annual plasticulture systems require different management than matted row production. One of the most important components is how you manage row cover during the winter.
Cary Rivard, K-State Research and Extension Fruit and Vegetable Specialist, worked with Jerry Wohletz, owner of Wohletz Farm Fresh, to research the productivity of strawberries using two different thicknesses of row covers.
The grant was funded by SARE, Sustainable Agriculture, Research and Education.
