Описание: Career criminals are paid to travel from state to state turning innocent people into criminals. These criminals are employed by the government and paid with your tax dollars. They are called confidential informants or CI. Confidential informants are tasked with finding people that are predisposed to commit certain crimes and providing them with the opportunity to commit one of those crimes. At least that is how it is supposed to work.
A good CI can make well over $100,000 in salary and benefits, which often far exceeds what they could make with their often extensive criminal records. They can be paid thousands of dollars a month to hang out in bars, drink alcohol and party with people they are trying to set up. Some receive money for food and hotels, flights to cool cities all on the government’s dime. In some jurisdictions an informant may receive a portion of the money seized. They therefore, have incentive to keep their “good government jobs”, even if it means breaking the rules.
An informant will claim that he is not required to obtain arrest or convictions. However, like any other job, an ineffective CI will be terminated. An informant quickly learns to target the most vulnerable individuals that they can find. Therefore the poor, naive, uneducated, young, lonely and criminally inexperienced yield the best results.
Some confidential informants will act like they are working with the police out of a sense of responsibility or to help the community. The truth is that many of them were facing serious criminal charges and became informants to avoid jail time. Some CI’s are reformed criminals, while many become better financed and educated criminals.

DON'T LET A CI OR ANYONE TALK YOU INTO COMMITTING A CRIME. THEY WILL MAKE IT SOUND TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE AND THAT IS BECAUSE IT IS. YOU WILL END UP IN A JAIL CELL SPENDING A BUNCH OF MONEY ON A LAWYER LIKE ME!
