Border Patrol officer injured during Los Angeles arrest, DHS says
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was injured during a law enforcement operation in Los Angeles, according to the Department of Homeland Security. DHS says agents were attempting to arrest a man when he tried to get away and struck law enforcement officers with his vehicle. A federal agent opened fire as the suspect attempted to flee, but authorities say the man was not shot and was taken into custody. DHS identified the suspect as an undocumented migrant from El Salvador.
