It's a Filipino native kakanin made from gluten free rice flour so easy, quick, simple, economical, less sweet, healthier than cakes.
INGREDIENTS:
Prepare first
1/2 c rice flour
2 cups water
Bring to boil in constant stirring to
make a paste. Cool set aside.
In a bowl combine and mix:
4 cup rice flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1T baking powder
1T instant yeast
Then add:
2.5 cups coconut milk include
the 2nd extraction
1 cup young grated coconut
strings
add the prepared paste
drops of buko pandan flavor
drops of green color (optional)
Mix well then let it rest for 25 mins
before cooking.
Prepare puto molders # 3 size lined
with wilted banana leaves.
At this point 5 minutes before cooking
start water to boil for steaming.
Pour mixture 3/4 filled in the molders.
Grate some cheese for toppings for
more yummy filling flavored.
Bring for steaming in high brisk.
