This is a step by step guide on how to perform one of the more challenging calisthenic movements. This movement takes a long time to master. I've been training for the planche for 2-3 years now and I still haven’t got a perfect form straddle planche however the progressive exercises in the videos will help you achieve the planche in time with plenty of practice. Try to train the planche everyday for around 15-20mins. If your wrists, elbows or muscles feel really sore the next day then listen to your body and rest. Everyday routine: (Rest 2min between all sets)
1. Wrist stretching/warm up • How to Warm Up: An Abnormal Calisthenic Ro...
2. Planche lean - 3 sets / 6-8 reps
3. Psuedo planche push ups - 3 sets / 4-6 reps
4. Static hold - (Tucked planche, Adv. Tuck, Straddle etc. ) 3 sets / 5,10,15 or 20 secs
5. Handstand work (optional)
3-4 times a week routine: (Rest 2min between all sets)

3. Psuedo planche push ups - 3 sets / 4-6 reps
4. Static hold - (Tucked planche, Adv. Tuck, Straddle etc. ) 5 sets / 5,10,15 or 20 secs
If you cant hold the same static hold for x amounts of sets, go back a progression*
5. Holding a straddle/normal handstand - 3 sets / X amount of seconds
*If that's to easy practice handstand presses below
6. Straddle press to handstand - 3 sets / 2-3 reps
7. straddle to bent arm lever - 3 sets / 2-3 reps
8. handstand to tuck planche - 3 sets / 2-3 reps
