School leaders across the country are navigating a moment of profound uncertainty—one that reaches far beyond budgets, enrollment, or staffing plans.
Recent changes to federal immigration policy have created real fear and instability for many educators working in independent schools. For some members of our communities, these changes are not abstract—they are deeply personal, emotional, and urgent.
Our guest will be Dr. Cindy Acker, founder of seven preschools in the San Francisco Bay Area and a nationally respected advocate for Montessori and early childhood education. Dr. Acker has been working closely with schools and educators directly affected by recent policy changes.
In this conversation, we explore:
✅ How recent immigration policy shifts are affecting independent schools in real time
✅ The fears and concerns facing immigrant educators and permanent residents
✅ The emotional, ethical, and leadership challenges school heads are encountering
✅ How schools can prepare, respond, and support their communities with clarity and compassion
This is not a political conversation.
It is a leadership conversation—about responsibility, preparedness, and the human realities unfolding inside our schools.
We invite heads of school, administrators, board leaders, and senior staff to join us for this important dialogue.
