I am back with another video and this video is on the Ultrasonic testing of welding joints.
If I describe ultrasonic testing in simple words the Ultrasonic testing technology is basically based on the ability of high-frequency oscillations (about 20,000 Hz) to propagate into the metal and be reflected from surface scratches, voids, and other discontinuities. The artificially created and the directed diagnostic wave enters into the tested material and in the case of a defect deviates from its normal propagation. The nature of the defect can be recognized by graphical and parametric readings.
