This video describes the different types of ratios you can calculate to assess how indebted the business is, including debt ratio, debt-equity ratio and the equity multiplier. Other ratios that can be calculated from the income statement are also discussed, e.g. interest coverage ratio, cash coverage ratio etc.
ABOUT ME:
My name is Atif Ikram. I am a Clinical Professor of Finance at Arizona State University (W.P. Carey School of Business) where I teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in corporate finance, personal finance and real estate. I have also taught various courses in economics, corporate finance and investments and Rutgers University, Wayne State University and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). I have a Masters degree in Economics from LUMS, and a PhD degree in Finance from ASU.
