With two weeks having passed since Jaslia's death and the investigation making no headway, various women's organizations are preparing to submit complaints, including to the Chief Minister. Kasaragod Municipal Chairperson Shahina Saleem told News18 that it was the police's apathy that drove Jaslia to suicide. Juwaila, District President of the Women's Justice Movement, demanded that a special team be formed to investigate the case.
