Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about the etrailer pin and clip. Now this is gonna be the one that's designed to work with your 1 1/4 receivers. So let's check it out. Now a pin and clip is gonna be required to really have anything in this receiver right here. It's gonna fit in there very smoothly, even with this thicker powder coat we have on there.
And then it'll clip into place. Now a couple accessories that typically don't come with a pin and clip are gonna be your ball mount or your cargo carriers. So you have to invest in one of these. Or if you ever lose your current pin and clip, since they are fairly small, you can just get a new one. Now I do got a ball mount here to kind of show you what it's gonna be like to actually use with.
This is the etrailer one. So typically this does come with a pin and clip, but if you ever do lose it, you can find another one here, just like that. This does a great job at holding this into place. Of course, you're still gonna get a little bit of shaking, but once you load this up, that's gonna reduce that. Now this is not designed the work with two inch receivers or accessories.
So to show you what I really mean is when I put that through that receiver there, (loud rattling) there's a lot of rattling. And that's not gonna be secure and safe when we're driving around, 'cause that's gonna move around eventually damage something. So definitely keep that in mind. Now for the exact dimensions of this, this is gonna be 1/2 inch for the diameter. That's why it fits so snugly in that 1 1/4 receiver, and it's gonna be 2 1/2 inch long.
So that gives us plain space to reach to the other side. Put that clip back in there. Now if you notice we do have a little bit of the bumper here. Just kind of keep that in mind when you are pushing that through, if yours extends a little bit further out, because everyone's setup is gonna be a little bit different. So overall, I do think this is gonna be a solid choice, just 'cause it is easy to handle, it's gonna be affordable. It's not a bad idea to have a couple of these on hand either. Now what's nice about these especially is we do get that powder coat finish on top of here. So it's gonna be less likely rusting compared to other ones out there. But if you guys have any other questions, let us know here at etrailer. And again, I'm Matt, thanks for watching.
