Описание: The Los Angeles Fire Department has expanded the geographic reach of Fast Response Vehicles (FRV), a flexible, multi-mission resource that can respond to fire and emergency medical service calls.

KABC-TV Solutions Reporter Phillip Palmer spent a day with LAFD FR 9, the Fast Response Vehicle assigned the central city area known as 'Skid Row', where the unit - like all LAFD FRV - now has a unique authorization from health officials to medically clear certain patients experiencing acute behavioral crises or chronic public inebriation for transport to either a Mental Health Urgent Care Center or Sobering Center, rather than to a traditional hospital emergency room. In addition, all LAFD FRV personnel are certified as Tactical EMS (TEMS) providers, and are able to support LAPD SWAT Team efforts.
