Tens of thousands of people have been forced to evacuate this evening, warned if they don't, it may be too dangerous to rescue you, and your buildings may not withstand the impact of floodwaters.
Waves of up to 12 metres have hit the Gold Coast, flights are grounded and 4 million people have been told to stay at home.
