🔍 Episode Overview:
At 12:50 a.m. on April 23, 2025, Patrolman Michael Spark of West Long Branch Police spotted a black 2016 Jeep Patriot. It sat stopped far past the line at SR 36 and Monmouth Road. Spark turned his cruiser. He trailed the Jeep west on SR 36. The driver weaved across lanes. He flashed his lights to pull her over.

Spark reached the Jeep. The driver was Amber Poppe. As he talked to her, alcohol scent hit him. He saw clear signs of impairment. Amber said she drove home from Jack’s in Long Branch, New Jersey. She owned up to two drinks that night. Spark grew sure she was impaired. He had her step out for sobriety tests.

She started with the Walk and Turn. Amber missed heel-to-toe steps. She turned wrong. Her arms swung out. Next came One Leg Stand. She kept her foot low. Counts came out jumbled. Her foot dropped early.

Her wild drive, booze smell, drink admission, and botched tests sealed it. Spark arrested Amber for DUI. He cuffed her into his cruiser. Her Jeep got towed for a 12-hour hold under John’s Law. He drove her to the station.

There, he read the motorist statement. Amber agreed to a breath test. Sergeant Robert Knott ran the Alcotest. Results showed 0.185% BAC—twice the 0.08% limit. They wrapped up processing. Her boyfriend took her home after signing the liability form. She got tickets for DUI, reckless driving, and lane drifts.
