In today's special edition, we launched our newly made type XIV arming sword collab. design with ‪@Phil.Martin‬

This sword is based on a custom commission he made to Swordier, maintaining the same blade geometry as the original but featuring a high-performance spring steel blade instead of the pattern-welded steel used in the first version.

This arming sword follows the Type XVI classification in Oakeshott’s typology, characterized by its broad base, reinforced diamond cross-section, and strong thrusting tip, making it effective against both mail and early plate armor. Additionally, the pommel design is an innovative fusion of Type I and Type I1 styles, giving it a unique yet historically inspired aesthetic.
