The Shadow Wizards - Louka Tessier, Tommy Jack Oddo Verdier, Vincent Boily Chatelain, and Lightelf - are four friends creating out of pure love for art. What started as a joke spread across the internet and into global culture, but for them, it’s always been about the work: music, design, visuals, and having fun.

We linked up with them in Montreal to see their lives off the internet - their creative spaces, inside jokes, and conversations about blowing up as a meme while wanting to be taken seriously. They’re eccentric, funny, self-aware, and deeply committed to their craft. Each member has their own lane, but together they cast something bigger: a mix of chaos, sincerity, and friendship that defines who they are.

You may have heard their tags on collaborations with DJ Smokeyy and Joeyy, or on Skrillex’s latest album. Maybe you’ve seen them on Asspizza streams with Bam Margera. Either way, their work has probably crossed your feed. These moments show that while they blew up as a meme, the Shadow Wizards are really shaping underground culture, online and off.

We also sat down with DJ Smokey, who helped their tag spread across the internet. He reflected on the early days, seeing their potential, and how proud he is of what they’ve built - from local shows to international collaborations.
