Canon EF 24mm F 1.4 – Is it TOO WIDE for PORTRAITS?

This video is all about the Canon EF 24mm F/1.4L lens. I have owned this lens for about 3 years now and have made thousands of images with it. This is my only other L lens and, along with the 50 1.2, is one of my favorite lenses of all time.

In this video, I talk about how I love using the 24 for portraiture. Some of you might not love the look a 24 mm gives to people and that is OKAY! I happen to love the possibilities this lens offers when it comes to environmental portraits. When paired with my 50 1.2, I have everything I need to make the images I want to make.

The simplicity of working with just these two lenses is really refreshing in my opinion. It saves $ and weight in your camera bag! I hope you enjoy hearing some of my thoughts and seeing some of my example images from both the 24 and the 50.

Please let me know your thoughts on the 24 1.4 in the comments! Is this a lens you love? Do you hate it? Do you prefer the Canon 35 mm 1.4 over the 24mm? The Canon 85mm 1.2 or 1.4 over the 50? If so, why? I would love to know!
