Biography:
Vincent de Ridder (b. 1997) received his first organ lessons at the age of nine at the Zeeuwse Muziekschool in Middelburg (NL), where he studied with Jos Vogel. In 2017 he started his organ studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam (NL), where he completed his Master’s degree in organ performance in 2023. His organ teachers there were Aart Bergwerff, followed by Bas de Vroome and Ben van Oosten. He also studied improvisation with Hayo Boerema and Sietze de Vries, basso continuo and harpsichord with Bas de Vroome, and piano with Martin Lekkerkerk.

In 2019 he won the First Prize at the jubilee edition of the SGO Organ Competition, held in the Der Aakerk and Martinikerk in Groningen. Furthermore, he has participated in masterclasses with leading organists including Wolfgang Zerer (Bach) and Olivier Latry (Franck). Vincent is active as a church musician at the Hillegondakerk in Rotterdam-Hillegersberg and maintains a private teaching practice in Arnemuiden. Alongside his musical career, he works for the Province of Zeeland in the field of spatial planning.
